Ignore all the things like exclusives, backwards compability for 20 years, mods, free online multiplayer, cheaper games etc.

And even if you build a PC that matches PS4, you can upgrade later. You can go from a dual core i3 to a i7 on the same motherboard and ram. From a 750Ti to a Titan X. From a single stick of 8GB ram to 4 sticks of 32GB.

But your point has nothing to do with this topic, I was talking that to connect and use Oculus Rift/HTC Vive for PC you only need a hdmi port and two USB 3.0 ports (USB 2.0 might work with a few dissconects every few hours according to AngryJoe review) on any form of device (desktop, laptop or windows tablet)

Maybe some people don't want to do gaming with a VR headset. There is so much more you can do like watching videos, movies, 3d panoramas, medical training. Even productivity because you can have 6 virtual monitors. For those things IntelHD Integrated Graphics would be more then enough. I'm pretty sure it would be able to drive the most simple VR games like Minecraft at 90FPS too.

Each separate upgradable part you just mentined could cost as much or even much more than a brand new console with a few games. And the titan x alone cost more than a ps4 with psvr and the camera and move controllers.

So what your saying is if your a gamer, get the psvr, if you dont plan on using vr for games, then get a oculous/htc vive. Makes sense. I would like to pay less if its just for entretainment, where I to need it for work or training then yea I see me paying more for a quality product. So I will stay away from pcvr then since all I want is games and maybe porn.
