Funny discussions going on in this thread :D
For me:
Not a single game, but in my opinion the whole FPS genre is ridiculously overrated by western media since the day Doom was released.
And it doesn´t seem to ever stop. I´ve got the feeling that every, absolutely every single FPS gets a rdiculous amount of previews, early hands-ons, hands‘n‘feet-ons, forum threads and inflated review scores from media and dedicated genre fans.
But that´s just me. Maybe I just hate that genre so much because people´s FPS love gave the adventure genre in USA a headshot in the late 90s & the WRPG genre got severely injured as well (and is still on convalescence).
