That will or may be the case later on but not in the short term. As I said, this launch is aimed at current PS4 owners but at some point Sony would want it to help sell PS4s. They're not going to throw that away by offering it to the PC crowd earlier. Then you have the matter of PS4/PSVR exclusives. This is Sony PR as far as I'm concerned and designed to 'perhaps' stop some people buying into PC tech early on. They're hoping this will slow Rift/Vive sales until October.
