| greencactaur said: A lot of it has to do mainly with Japanese devs not giving us what we want :o. We want games like persona/Chrono Trigger/ Final fantasy/Dragon Quest. Not FPS, not some HacknSlash game, Not anime weabo stuff. We want it like the old days, and the numbers prove that. When there is a good JRPG like Ni No Kuni or even the recent Digimon Cyber sleuth, the numbers tend to show "Oh hey....If we make games like we use to, We can actually make money". |
Its not that.Gamers dont mind new things.Actually, I hope they keep producing new ideas and innovate, because eventualy things would get old, the problem is that:A)They dont make as many quality games as they did in the past. And thats the problem when they do new IPs, is that they are not as good as they should be.And B) They try to reinvent completely stabilished IPs, like RE being an action adventure instead of survival horror, DMC, and many more.
The problem lies in quality, not diversity.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
