A lot of it has to do mainly with Japanese devs not giving us what we want :o. We want games like persona/Chrono Trigger/ Final fantasy/Dragon Quest. Not FPS, not some HacknSlash game, Not anime weabo stuff. We want it like the old days, and the numbers prove that. When there is a good JRPG like Ni No Kuni or even the recent Digimon Cyber sleuth, the numbers tend to show "Oh hey....If we make games like we use to, We can actually make money".
As for mobile games, If they want to they can, I mean there's no real issue with it, but most publishers/devs don't really understand how to make money, so I find them failing to make any real cash, maybe a few millions here and there, but thats not really that much for a company.
