The biggest problem with VR on the PC is the hardware requirements.
GTX 970 and i5 4590 is nowhere near the average gaming PC set up.
While there's no argument that VR on PC should provide a better experience from a technical standpoint, without even delving into the differences between the VR hardware systems themselves (PS VR is not the best in this department), the reality is that it is an even smaller niche market than the $499 PS VR kit for current PS4 owners.
