It's nearly the end of March and with St. Patricks day behind us and Easter before us I would like to discuss Irish characters, culture and contributions to gaming.
The first experience I remember, playing a game and being proud of my heritage was the intro to Metal Gear Solid....

For me, this was a watershed moment in gaming that signalled a more mature approach to storytelling and how emotive games can be.
In recent news, we had Havok (Dublin based) being bought by Microsoft from Intel and we have Hellblade with some strong Celtic influences...
