All a matter of opinion.
I'm not exactly sure what part of Jak II is a bad game. I enjoyed it, and for some people it's their favorite Jak game. |
Broken hitboxes, a bad and nonsensical story that's also somehow predictable, a lack of checkpoints, missions designed around poor mechanics, a linear overworld with only one path from A to B, 8 hit points despite every enemy but one doing two hit points of damage, horrible handling on cars within the linear paths leading to unnecessary crashes, auto-aim on weapons, Jak's character development, the escort mission that I believe is in Act 2, the pointlessness of the overworld to do anything but waste the player's time, et alia res.
There are others I'm forgetting and I'll even skip by the most fanfiction line I've ever heard in a video game, but yeah. No it's not a good game, it's a rose-goggled mess.
Edit: I forgot the big one, no invincibility frames when getting hit, leading to you losing half your health within a second because of poor design. Fun!
You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt! I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading. After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!
