It can go on forever. There is nothing "This Gen" about the Wii, so by all standards we knew, it should never sell. The fact that it does means it sells regardless of technology.
I can see the Wii selling for 15-20 years. I am sure they will update it over that time, but at its core, it will be the same machine.
