Actually forgot that I have played some of those (Outlast and Alien ISolation).

They were definitely good games, but I'm still hoping for more. They had good atmosphere but weren't actually scary.

I almost pissed myself a couple of times but you do have a point. The atmosphere is great but they don't have the same psycological effect that e.g. Silent Hill 2 had.
