This is what happens when you go all in on higher and higher budgeted projects. Yoshida has gone on record saying bg budget successes like Uncharted allow for these "riskier" games to be made (not sure why one of the two racing games on PS4 should be a risk in ANY regard), but this continues to be the case for many PS exclusive studios over recent years - particularly since 2011.
