I'm not sure, I really like some gimmicks and I really dislike other gimmicks. But I like that companies try to do something good. Also, I'm not sure about the definition of "gimmick". I think it's a matter of popularity. I mean, WiiMote was bashed for part of the gamer community as an useless gimmick, VR is now cool as hell, and it seems now that Move is cool because you wear a helmet.
