If you absolutley can't buy a PS3 i'd recomend Gears of War it's quite old but I don't think it's in your list .

And what would he play on PS3 that is better than what he can already get on 360?

I want to get to sleep today before 12 , sorry but you'll just have to use google.

heh...nice cop out.

I could make a list of at least 10 games without blinking.

I know you can, but I'm not sure its wise as its kinda like getting in to a pissing match with a skunk.

You realize the whole premise of PS3 at this point is the "future" games coming out this year or next year. Most people should realize that as far as back catalog is concerned (which is what he asked for) , PS3 is still inferior to 360.

While that's true (though less true if you don't like FPSs) it's NOT true that there's nothing on PS3 that's "better than what he can get on 360", if by that you meant that there are no great PS3 games. If you are suggesting that PS3 has to have a number of games that are better than ALL 360 games, well, that's too subjective to be workable and a bad way of judging.

Back catalog is one legit consideration. Exclusive games that you KNOW are coming on each system is another, and it's legit. It takes pure argue-against-PS3-at-all-costs spin to deny it. For many people, Blu-Ray is another valid consideration, as is free online gameplay.

EDIT: rocketpig, sorry if this contributes to the OT part of the thread. As for 360 games that look good to me, I'd have to go with Bioshock, Lost Odyssey, UTIII (out yet?), and maybe another one of the upcoming RPGs and Gears 2.

No biggie. I have no problem with people steering off-topic a little if they rationalize their point and aren't offensive. Nothing you said there was incorrect IMO. Future exclusives can be a perfectly legitimate reason for purchasing a console if that's what the person is looking for.
