Well its like this, the playstation move's multi-Light LED sphere on top of it, is not just for tracking, it also allows the developer to overlay AR ie: augmented reality effects over top of the controller to represent something in a game.
So imagine they could create a lightsabre like kylo Ren's or other classic Jedi or dark force user's lightssbre's in the VR game.
Or unlock pretty awesome unlockable
Light saber effects for your dark Jedi sith or Jedi Knight
