You're only going to get back their currency. So, if you're selling them a game, you were already planning on buying more. If resale value is an issue, you're better off buying it physical. A membership with Prime or Gamers rewards gets you 20% off, so you're already ahead without resale value. They are somehow assigning a monetary value to you not playing a game. They're not paying you for a product, they're literally paying you not to use a product. It's baffling. |
Perhaps BC is turning out to be a lot more work, better pay you to delete the game and forget about it :p
Or the servers are getting too full, gotto make room in people's accounts :)
It's store credit, virtual currency, only there to encourage you to spend more. They could give a 10% discount on the next title if you already on the previous one. Yet putting some money in your virtual wallet gives you more incentive to use it.
Or perhaps it's a loophole to prevent having to make a system where you can sell your digital licenses to other people.
Anyway whatever it is, I wouldn't spend $60 on a digital only version in the first place.
