You're only going to get back their currency.  So, if you're selling them a game, you were already planning on buying more.  If resale value is an issue, you're better off buying it physical.  A membership with Prime or Gamers rewards gets you 20% off, so you're already ahead without resale value.  

They are somehow assigning a monetary value to you not playing a game.  It's baffling.

Your right... that way of thinking just makes the 10% seem even worse.
