Ironically in your first sentence you gave a great benefit to buying digital.

Also, I'm not sure about PS4. But on Xbox One you and a friend can link your Xbox Ones. 1 person buys the game and the other can play it at the same time for free. I have some mates that alternate buying games. Effectively they buy a game for £25 on launch day.
