That's the problem with generalizations, perhaps it's not the same people...
Plus why does it make you look like a jackass?
Why do you care what you look like in your house?
You don't have to be in your living room, it works anywhere!
Oldest gimmick? Yeah I'm pretty saturated with all those VR games I played in the 90's, oh wait.
Wii sports was great and some other stuff as well you probably classify as shovel ware.
PS eye had some fun games, Kung fu live doubled as great excercise as well.
PS Move was great, yet I guess shovelware too.
I skipped on Kinect as I didn't believe it would work as advertised and I already had eye toy, DDR mats, ps eye, wii mote+, balance board and ps move, enough motion controls. I still use the balance board and both wii motes and ps move controllers in just dance. Life is more fun if you stop worrying about what hypothetical others might think of you. Hint, they don't care.
Can't wait to get my hands on a VR device.
