Analysis: Wii U has twice as many top-rated exclusive games as PS4 and Xbox One combined

To be fair what serious third party support has a Nintendo console ever had. But there are still plenty of people like me who choose a PS4 over a Xone because of games like Uncharted. But yes people buy the best (advertised) games available on their platform and in general don't give a shit whether they are exclusive or not. Problem with Nintendo is the fact you really don't have much third party content to choose from anyway. Some third party games on gamecube like Resi 4 (temporally exclusive) sold quite well right.

GC had solid third party support, and yet almost all best selling games were exclusives. Of Course, I will also choose a PS4 over X1 because of Uncharted, Bloodborne, God Of War, Last Of Us...but majority of people don't care about those games, they care about GTA, Call Of Duty, Fifa, PES, Star Wars, Battlefield, NBA, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Minecraft...like I wrote, this gen 3rd parties are strongen than ever before, and despite people buy Nintendo platforms for theire exlusives on first place, Nintendo needs them and can't have successful platform without them.
