Trump is doing well because he's running on two things.
First he is running on nationalism by saying things like "muslims bad" "latinos bad" "blacklivesmatter racist terrorist group" "asians anchor babies" "whites should be able to say what they want without being called racist" and for white republican voters that is appealing. White republican voters have been feeling really uncomfortable as more minorities come in to the country and their numbers begin to dwindle.
Other trump supporters who aren't bigots feel that because he's a successful business man maybe he'll know what it takes to create jobs. I can understand this position slightly.
I personally am a democrat and i'm voting for Bernie Sanders but I can't lie and say I don't enjoy watching Trump drive the GOP insane. What will really bring me to complete laughter is if Trump loses to Bernie Sanders or Hilary Clinton and Trump and his supporters have to face the constant media trolling that they'll get if trump doesn't win the presidency.
The media will make fun of trump and his followers for a year straight. Twitter will be insanely hilarious when Trump gets trolled on his twitter daily.
Praying that Bernie or Hilary win so Trump can embrace the label he gave MItt Romney which is Loser aka failed candidate. lol
