Because usually the big muscle freaks are male.
And you need a party of a tank,healer,damage dealer. ect. And you want the tank to be a muscle freak in armor (look like they can take punishment).
Thats why typically the women are theives/healer/mage/archers, stuff that doesnt require you to be a muscle freak.
