Remember just 5 years ago when a 40" 720p TV finally went under $1000 on black Friday? Now a 40" 1080p TV is $200. Remember just two Xmases ago when a 40" 1080p 3D TV with 2 glasses went for $999? 3D, gotta have it for the future so you can see all the 3D news and sports that are right around the corner. Meanwhile 3 new consoles came out, none with 3D. If you already have a decent TV, at least wait til Xmas 2016 to see that a 4k smarty 55" curved 4D TV/toaster oven comes free with your purchase of a 6 pack of tube socks. And you know that the 'next gotta have it' gen of TVs is coming soon...
