Way to selectively quote. I think I said "Wiis and DSs" which would account for about 45 million people (assuming half of Wii owners are double dippers)

If you can't see the writing on the wall yet, then take a step back and wait until next year. It's plainly obvious which system the old PS2 owners are buying right now, and it's not the PS3. Some people may be slow to realise this, but it will come to you next year I'm sure.

Not much has changed with regard to handheld consoles. Gameboys have been dominating the handheld market since release. The only difference is that now there's good competition from the Sony PSP, unlike the Atari Lynx and Sega Game Gear were able to provide.

I bought my sister a Gameboy Advance (which was stolen...) and I and my girlfriend own 2 Nintendo DSes, yet I prefer a PS3 as a home console.

IMO speaking like the way you do makes you a blind fanboy, as there are too many different factors to take into account for you or anyone else to be so sure about this all so early after the Nintendo Wii and PS3's release.

infact he was speaking about a trend.

if you look at japanese charts:

75 000 wii

9 800 ps3

"houston we have a problem..."

those cannot be be only nintendo fans...for sure there are also sony fans that cannot afford a ps3...

then obviously sony fan will buy as soon as sony make a price reduction the ps3...

maybe...

history teaches...

lose first year lose the war...

betamax and umd ghosts are on the bluray...
