They tried for 3 gens and didn't manage to hold down an entire gen, I don't think they want to just keep throwing money into the wind, especially if it's aiding the competition far more than it is for themselves. They also have a base with PC folk but first they need to stop thinking they can control an open platform and then they will win those folk over in droves.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
