I do currently own an OG Xbox, and I've owned five XB360's. Competition breeds innovation, and what I was stating earlier was simply evidence to support that. Without real competition, Sony would stagnate.

Sony would have priced their console cheaper period as the PS4 cost for development was much cheaper than that of the PS3. THe PS3 also outsold the 360 so it did not effect the PS3 sale sin the long run. No one really cares for cross-game chat and that feature was something that was coming regardless. Sony had been improving PSN since last generation and are now better than MS because fans asked for certain features. None of that had anything to do with MS at all. When were we ever stuck paying out the nose for next gen consoles lol? Nothing you said is relevant to why the PS4 is beasting right now.

Sony might not have gone for a lower development cost if they hadn't learned their lesson from MS. And I'm aware that PS3 beat XB360, it was also really close, though. They learn from each other, and as a result make each other better.

You still sound like you've always had it for Sony than MS though, like you want them around to make your fave brand better instead of going for the other rband even despite you owning past systems (which aren't current systems at that).

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
