They didn't have to make games as big as Gears or Halo (although Fable is definitely one of Micorsoft's most recognizable IPs) for them to play a pivotal role for the company. Going forward, sure, it remains to be seen if this absence will really be anything major. And just because some of us call it a big deal for them, doesn't mean we think it's the end of the brand. In fact, very people have said anything close to that. |
Pivitol, sure but not major out out there known by everyone in the sdame regards that Halo and Gears are. Their abdcense with Fable 4 tells me that the shut down isn't the end of the world. The last great Fable game I played was Fable II and even then I enjoyed 3 for a bit but I can't really play that on PC these days so nothing of value was really lost to me in a major I cannot live my life kind of way.
Some people are using this news as a means to say it's the end of a brand or the end of all brands, bit odd to say no one will (implied).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
