Lionhead wasn't anywhere as big as Gears or Halo for MS though, despite the spin off games Fable had, none of them were as big as Gears or Halo either. I think because it's MS and so far this gen they have been the major focus on negaivity that it seems almost natural to make a big deal out of this to spite a company brand someone else didn't like (we're already getting list wars of studios closed in here already, facts or not it;s listing one vs the other and creating a competitive argumental rift).

They didn't have to make games as big as Gears or Halo (although Fable is definitely one of Micorsoft's most recognizable IPs) for them to play a pivotal role for the company. Going forward, sure, it remains to be seen if this absence will really be anything major. And just because some of us call it a big deal for them, doesn't mean we think it's the end of the brand. In fact, very people have said anything close to that.

Pivitol, sure but not major out out there known by everyone in the sdame regards that Halo and Gears are. Their abdcense with Fable 4 tells me that the shut down isn't the end of the world. The last great Fable game I played was Fable II and even then I enjoyed 3 for a bit but I can't really play that on PC these days so nothing of value was really lost to me in a major I cannot live my life kind of way.

Some people are using this news as a means to say it's the end of a brand or the end of all brands, bit odd to say no one will (implied).

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
