A quick Google search would have done you some good. It's an Action-Adventure game. From there, one can assume that it isn't just another "shooter shooter shooter shooter shooter".

i did do a google search.  that doesn't exclude it from being a shooter,..  this is from "the makers of Metroid Prime" afterall.
