I just replied to someone else saying I still intend to buy it. You don't have to tell me it's not a game for me just because I find it lacking in some areas that other games have covered, I am still perfectly allowed to judge it based on what it offers.

No offence meant, fella, it's just that you seem to have lots of misgivings about the game. You might be surprised but at least wait for reviews or reactions from fans before you take the risk. There's absolutely nothing wrong with lot liking certain games that other like.

None taken, I have doubts about a lot of games as time goes on, especially for Starbound, I don't think that game is gods gift to man and I'm well aware it has it's own set of flaws (self generated planets really just being a dime a dozen in general for both titles). I can't say I'm as easily thrilled or enticed by a game that plays it quite safe in an environment where other games took that first stride and laid down the foundations to what some games end up using. I'm still going to grab the game like I said but I'm not completely over the moon to willfully ignore cracks and flaws, even before release and with the information having been drip fed to us for years now. Don't forget that first impressions do actually count for most of what goes on in this world of ours, the images we see tell us a thousand things about something and the details we know allow us to form our own opinions and views and in turn we make decisions absed on what we've seen and heard which was why after some years that I;ve begun to notice what it's offering and what it isn't, I can't help but point out that based on what I've seen and heard.

Can't say I need to have reactions from "fans" though, those never really matter or go into how I buy my games in terms of input, if anything I'll be looking more towards performance and bench tests to see how it holds up and I know I'll have to wait for that for a while since the PC side of things hasn't had a peep made for years (which gives me a good reason to also have doubts on that end). You're right, there is nothing wrong with a lot liking certain games that others like but I can still point out how I prefer being able to leave my mark on planets and colonize them, when another game allows for that I will proceeed to point that out.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
