For a 23 year old who is not in the field, you seem to have good knowledge of the inner workings of the legal system. If your case is strong enough, such a large company will usually settle rather quickly after they realise they are in the wrong. Its to prevent them from getting into punitive damages. However, if they find out your financial situation is perilous, they might just try every trick your jurisdiction allows them in order to cause delays and increase your fees (or cause your lawyer to get discourraged if he is only working on commission). Good luck with your career. :) And don't worry, many of our lives suck. |
I'm not a insider, and I dont know alot about the legal BS, but I do know that I was required to sign paperwork saying all legal action will be at the state they are based out of, and I also know, from past law-suits, (and a few class action law-suits still pending, (from them screwing bulk employees))
I do know, that they will delay every way they can, and I know they have some of the best lawyers in the nation. Likely things will get worked out, I would rather not have to do that, as that company is so dirty, and they know it, they have good lawyers on their payroll, and it wouldnt suprise me too much if the local courts are too.
