A small change to Law 12 (Triple Punishment) has been made with a 2 year trial:
Other rule changes and experiments agreed upon:
- The ball will be able to move in any direction from the kick-off rather than only moving forward (Law 8)
- A player who is injured by a challenge punished by a yellow/red card can now have a quick assessment/treatment on the field rather than having to leave the field (Law 5)
- Live experiments with the video referee for a minimum of 2 years, these experiments are to be implemented at the latest for the 2017/18 season.
- Experiments with a 4th substition in extra time.
All changes come into effect on June 1st.
