That person might get Fringe vibes but maybe he/she is just a huge Fringe fan.
I don't get any of those vibes. The characters are too different. Even the premise, in Fringe you were fighting a collective group of mysterious enemies. In QB you are fighting one main villain.
I am sure QB was inspired by many scifi shows and movies. As lots of movies and games are.
