Yeah... That will be a real communication and marketing mess. The mainstream/casual/family buyers might be lost and fail to understand clearly which version does what.

Clarity is best. You buy the current Playstation, the current Xbox, the current Nintendo. A lot of people would likely not bother to search and understand several versions of a same console... (who said "Steam boxes" ?)
