A few posters here already mentioned it, but AR / Smart Glasses will replace smart phones. Smart glasses would free up your hands, so you can talk and work at the same time. A relatively small AR screen can appear bigger than the largest phone / tablet screen.
Companies just need hardware to get a little further ahead so that you can make them small enough, light enough, with long enough batteries that they aren't annoying to wear all day.
They also need to solve the UI problem. Voice commands are not perfect yet. Also, eye tracking or hand gesture tracking aren't as good as a touch screen input yet. I am sure that Google and Apple are working on stuff like this (I don't think we've seen the last of Google Glass).
