No, VR will not initially sell bucket loads like the Wii. But it will also not be forgotten next gen. I see it more as the evolution to analog controls or 3D games. Initially akward, yet now unthinkable to do without. And there are still plenty games using digital input and plenty of 2D games. Not all games will be in VR.


Btw I still use motion controls, in erm just dance. I think VR will be good for more than dance games.


Killer app for VR: Myst was a great surprise hit with universal appeal back in the day. A slow exploration adventure where you can really examine the environment might work. The big selling point of Myst was immersion.

 For VR I think Dear Esther and Everybodys gone to the Rapture type of games would be fantastic.
