They come off as pretty ungrateful to me. If they want to protect their brand they can start by treating their fans with some respect, then they can threaten the folks selling the stuff on eBay...you know the guys profiting from the whole thing. Someone creating and offering knitting patterns to their friends free of charge is hardly a threat to the BBC.
The way I understand the laws they are completely within their rights to do what they've done....but they're out of their damn minds if they think its helping them. Honestly they claim they are protecting themselves with these actions but they hurt themselves far more.
