Its crazy to attack PS4 in middle of generation and Nintendo knows that.
Nintendo will offer something different than PS4/X1, IMO what Nintendo want with NX is to pull something similar like they done with Wii (no, I don't mean just very underpowerd hardware with very strong gimmick that will lead to 100m sales). Solid hardware (that doesnt mean stronger than PS4 hardware), solid gimmick (maybe unified platform is some kind of gimmick or at least part), and affordable price ($249-299 price point).
