Kid? That's still how you handle things on the internet? ¬_¬

But Trent never said he liked it better.

At first, he felt: "I'd known where I was when I wrote it. I know what I was thinking about. I know how I felt. Hearing it was like someone kissing your girlfriend. It felt invasive". Then he watched the video and thought Cash's version made sense. That it was powerful, and a great piece of art. He felt honored that cash chose one of his song. But no mention of him saying he liked it better than his own. Just that Cash managed to make the song his own.

And really, I was listening to NIN when you were barely a junior. So please, no need for that. It's my opinion that Cash's version is a snore fest. Yeah, yeah. It's powerful if you consider the moment in his life when he chose to cover it, and what the video is actually about. But that doesn't make it any less boring to my ears compared to the original.

I like Cash's version, but it just got powerful when he died, and that's what makes his version great, along with the video which adds a lot to his version. But I agree that, talking about musicianship, I enjoy more the NIN original version. The ending is just too powerful, and that lacks in the Cash version.
