People are free to think whatever they want and to some it does look like CGI, of course, especially in motion. RotTR beats the FMV's from Tomb Raider 1 easily in many things. But picture quality alone is still not even close to what, let's say Toy Story, does. We still live in an age where you can spot single polygons which is ok when it comes to games. You can't expect a higher level when you only have 33 ms to render a frame.

My comment wasn't really me wondering anything about the subject. I know what CGI is. I was being a tad sarcastic.
But I still think many games achieve CGI quality (or close-enough CGI quality, to suit your narrative). But there will always be a gap between the most cutting-edge pre-rendered CGI, and real-time graphics. That doesn't mean the latter can't look like CGI at all.
