Xenosaga is owned by Namco-Bandai not square. 

 

As for the second disc of xenogears, it was just a bunch of monologues with a boss battle here and there until the last dungeon. I actually want to play all of the events in between and see all of the plot points which were discarded. It would make the amazing story more impactful.
