I know you meant every game but my point is that this particular guy changed this particular game for this particular reason. I'm sure he understands that this is a rare scenario where he can get away scot-free with changing gender this easily, and it sounds like he's just trying to help his daughter cultivate a similar experience and love of games with this small change. 

 

It's no commentary of gender equality in games here, it's just a guy who wants his daughter to start with this one game with the one change to a gender neutral character so she has the best chance of getting hooked. 

Yeah, that is true. Despite the extra work it had to take, it is a nice effort on his part.
