Xbox the console will lose sales.

I only bought an Xbox for the exclusives that wouldn't come to PC, and I have many friends who said they would have just got a PS4 and PC instead of getting an Xbox had they known so many first party games were coming to PC.

Like it or not. The PC and consoles do compete. PS4 and Xbox One compete. Xbox one and PC gamers are going to become PS4 and PC gamers.

Best case scenario, only Xbox One sales will go down, but does that really matter? If the games still get released, who cares if sales go down and more people are enjoying the alternatives? If support starts to twindle, that's when you worry.

It is still mostly hypberbole though but that's fine people love to stir up drama on the forums.

History tend to repeat itself.

Early 2006 we had threads on Vgchartz where people were saying that their is more reason to get a PS3 instead of a Xbox 360. Biggest reason? Because you can also play games like gears of war/Oblivion and the soon released games like Bioshock/Mass Effect on PC and that people will get a PS3 for real exclusives. Some time later and the only thing we saw is that Xbox 360 sold more in that period so how was that even possible, I still don't get it because people on the vgchartz forums told me that would not be the case strange.

Skip to this generation and we see that Sony follows MS Xbox 360 strategy of getting console exclusives and in fact also have so many bundles with games that also are on PC.  Is anyone really expecting bad sales for PS4 this february because games like the Witness/SFV are also on PC the same day or that the sales of the Far cry primal/SFV bundle will be bad because those games are on pc?

If millions of gamers on Xone/PS4 are buying games like Minecraft that is basically playable on every pc and people prefer it to play on consoles I don't see any reason why it would hurt the Xone or even PS4 for having games released on PC aswell.
