| Normchacho said: So...people who own a gaming PC that's at least $500 (not including the monitor) should buy an Xbox One so that they can play the games they already own (unless they have a bunch of games on Steam) on their tv? Instead of buying a Sony or Nintendo console that would give them access to games that they don't have access to on their PC? That seems like an awful lot of money for...remote play... |
Most people (not members of gaming forums) don't buy consoles for exclusives. They go for COD, FIFA/Madden, Fallout, TES, etc.
And yes, this move would turn the Xbone into a Steambox for PC gamers - and there supposedly is a market for that? This would be a very cheap Steambox. With a guaranteed maximum optimization. With a perfect UI. With a great controller already in.
If you're a PC gamer that has kids, would you rather buy them a PS4 and have to keep buying games for it, or would you rather get an Xbone and share your library with them? I know what I'd do
If you're a console gamer - you still get the same console, with games that you won't get on PS4. If you don't care about PC gaming, you'll still be getting Halo, GeoW, etc. only on Xbone.
And the possible tablet integration, which to me is the biggest gamechanger. This would basically allow anyone to mix and match what they want. PC, console, tablet - whatever you want, take it, buy games from MS and you can play them on every device!
Lets be real for a minute. Sony isn't investing piles of cash into PSNow, because console gaming is going to stay with us forever...
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/
My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
