Choose any profession in the world, from prostitute to teacher to ice cream salesman torock star to game reviewer and there are good ones and bad ones. And there are good reviewers who will have a bad day/review and bad reviewers that will come up with a great take on a game.
Saying they are all useless or all good, even within one publication, is pointless and makes you look rather silly. They aren't even necessarily tthe same reviewers from month to month or year to year, and different reviewers in the same mag might have VERY different opinions.
Like I would say Halo 3 really deserves a 10 because to me the stuff it does brilliantly overshadows some of the minor qualms, and somebody above me used the example of them giving it a 10 as a reason to distrust a reviewer. We could work for the same company and both opinions are still totally valid.
Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?
