Shareplay is a different feature than digital game share that started on PS3.  The ps4 did carry over digital game share from the PS3,however, it's 2 people on 2 consoles at the same time.  I believe the PS3 allowed more.  Digital game sharing can be on the same console or up to two ps4's simultaneously.

shareplay is a different feature that lets you digital game share remotely by digital couch coop or actually turning the game over to a friend over the Internet

the Xbox one allows digital game sharing on the same console.  I know people do it on two consoles but I'm not sure that's officially supported.  It was not at one time because it is the main reason I changed from buying two Xbox ones at launch and bought two ps4's because Sony countered MS on it and actually added it to their FAQ as a feature
