Sounds like 343 might have made a questionable decision in hiring the writer they did. But also if they were subject to corporate interference then that kinda ruins trumps whether or not the writer was really up to the task.

Still this is all the views of an outsider who was only hearing about rthe game from the perspective of someone who played it. So it's hardly an authoritative view on the positives and negatives of the game's story, even if the guy is well connected and a bit of an expert. Still the guy had no idea who the writer for Halo 5 was.

The guy actually knew who the head writer was because of his bad reputation in the videogame/comic industry. 

Sorry, I mean the guy didn't know that this hack was the writer until the youtuber told him. So he had enough insider knowledge to know the writer was a hack, but he lacked the level of insider knowledge to know that this hack was the writer for Halo 5.

Therefore he completely lacked all inside knowledge about the development of Halo 5, and he had no first hand experience of the game itself. So everything he said was total speculation based on a brief second-hand summary of the game. Some of the speculation is pretty reasonable and probably fairly predictable, since we know that corporates interfere in big budget productions across all entertainment segments. So what this guy guesses at has a decent probabilitiy of being 90%+ accurate. But the fact of the matter is the guy does not have any inside knowledge of what went on behind the scenes with Halo 5.
