It really makes me Happy that Exclusives still move All the consoles Sales, if Microsoft, make something like Steam Machine, if really enter on the Next Cicle, and if the game will have all the games that are avaliable on PC, and Windows, the "Machine" would sell Much, much less than the Dreamcast, i think that even the Steam Machines, are selling on Low Numbers.

That isn't the reason Wii U failed, but whatever. Believe what you want.

Doing a little research, PS3 came to Brazil around 2010. MS didn't start manufacturing 360's in Brazil until 2011. So... Brazil is all fucked up when it comes to game consoles. Lets stop talking about Brazil.

For Playstation and Xbox, 3rd party support is more important than exclusives. For example, having CoD even as a multiplat is more important than any game Sony or MS will ever release. Also, pricing at launch is very important. PS3 fucked up pricing at launch and so did X1.

Some of the most popular games on consoles are also on PC and they are better on PC. But PC doesen't appeal to everyone. That is why Xbox can succceed even if all its games were on PC.

So, you want me to stop talking about my own country, the only place that i live and can see with my Own eyes what is going own ?, so i need to Speak About Argentina, Germany, or maybe India ?, something more Random like Netherlands ?.

 

Playstation 3, even without having Piracy, agais the Xbox 360, that had piracy, Still out-sold Xbox 360, on Brazil, the majority import retailer sold more playstation 3, and Brazil's Amazon (the store not the florest), had more Deals made with Playstation 3, than Xbox 360, and is the Main store for Brazil.

a Country that never paid for Original games before, begun to pay because of Playstation 2's sucess, they were with Sony's Brand, because the Exclusives were more worth for the Brazilian's taste, this shows that a Console, sell mainly for games, and despite of Multimidia, Little price variations, the Exclusives is what sell consoles, because of that Consoles still sell well after much time released on Brazil, of course is cheaper build a PC, but you would not have the Exclusives.

 

And you  are Wrong that a game like Call of Duty, would move more Sales than any Exclusive, acording to VG Chartz, The Last of Us, Sold Nearly more than Call of Duty Black Ops 3, if was a Launch tittle for Playstation 4, would have sold the same.

 

People purchase console for Exclusives,  they know that they will get the Multiplataform tittles, what make them purchase the Console is Exclusives.

And the reason because Consoles also sell more Multiplataform, is that The person already spend the money on the Console, and if the person will receive Multiplataform, and Exclusives, on the same machine, they would just save money for Games.

 

But if the  person can get PC's exclusives, plus the Exclusives of the console that the person wants, so there is no reason for purchasing a Console, in 1-2 Years, there would be even less reasons.
