Let me help you with that. I gave examples in the post above but I'll do it again. Any being that can create something from nothing and control the frabric of space and time is pretty much God. This is something Safer(Seraph) Sephiroth can do. Cloud fought him and won.

Not only did Cloud beat a being with God powers, he also has more fighting experience, and is a better fighter and magic user overall.
