NES didnt try to compete in Brazil. But I beieve they would have done well had they did what Sega did. Even if PS3 was a cheap Bluray, it was an expensive machine for the average consumer. That allowed 360 to succeed. I believe a low price is crucial to having success in Brazil. I hear piracy is also pretty rampant there so many just opt for PC. That lowers odds of people going to Xbox and Playstation. Brazil has a massive population but relatively speaking they dont buy a lot of game consoles. Master System had objectively shitty versions of SF and MK. Sonic wasnt great either on that system. Wii sold well because it appealed to casual market. Wii U has great exclusives and has sold horribly. |
Wii U, have Anti-Worldwide-costumer's Policy, because of that Wii U, did not sold.
The Xbox 360, Was the only console with Piracy for Years, and still the PS3, out-sold Xbox 360, on Brazil.
Is hard to you to believe that a Country, can like more the Sonic Games, than Mario Games ?, Sonic, is the Best gaming mascot of all times, and the Brazil Simply played more Sonic games, than Mario, and Unlike Mario, Sonic, was sucessfull on all source of Midia, Mario, had one of the Worst rated films of All times.
Do it hurts you to believe that Exclusives, and Games, is the Number 1 thing that Sell Consoles ?, and not Features ?.
It really makes me Happy that Exclusives still move All the consoles Sales, if Microsoft, make something like Steam Machine, if really enter on the Next Cicle, and if the game will have all the games that are avaliable on PC, and Windows, the "Machine" would sell Much, much less than the Dreamcast, i think that even the Steam Machines, are selling on Low Numbers.
