AI has not been a problem for me after 100 hours or so, unless I put 40+ cars on a kart track. The only track that seems to make the AI an annoyance is Azure circuit. If you take yourself outta the mind set of earning stuff and just concern yourself without the racing itself then you're gonna have fun. Take it a lap at a time, a race at at time or a tier at a tme. But if you really need a reward the trophies tie in nicely to the in game historic goals. I recommend completeing these goals for some ultra rare gold trophies and don't go to light on the AI difficulty, 30 to bgin with knock it up 10 at a time from there until you feel a good challenge. I done most of my career at 60 which is a enough for me to loose a championship with two bad races but not going so far as to worry about taking out the competition. Its all open ended so be true to yourself and the settings, and its by far the best racer you'll ever play. And then theres the online which is still going strong. |
Sounds good. My main problem with the AI was not driving according to the same rules, taking short cuts over the grass without losing traction, ignoring rain etc, plus causing hilarious traffic jams with 40 on track. The difficulty problem was that one notch meant the difference between being at the back of the pack, or way out in front. Not good scaling, and also inconsistent between tracks.
