I'm all for Hololens especially since this device can be used with any real world application. It's a glimpse of what kind of computer wear we'll have in the future. Watching sports, shows, events etc will be greatly enhanced with this.
As a gaming device, if they manage to cover the entire field of view it could serve not only as a VR device but an AR at the same time. You could use controllers but no need for them and the beauty in this is that you could play anywhere whith people without having it hooked to another device.
